Position Overview
The Dwight School Yearbook Advisor serves as an integral part of our school community, overseeing the creation and production of our annual yearbook publication. This role involves guiding and mentoring Dwight students who participate in the yearbook as an after-school activity, and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality publication that captures the essence of our school year. This is a part-time position and will require some work in-person during after-school hours with the Dwight Student Yearbook Club, averaging about 5 hours a week.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and mentor students enrolled in the yearbook after-school program to preserve school memories
Oversee all aspects of yearbook production, from initial planning to final publication
Guide students in photography, layout design, writing, and editing
Coordinate with school administration, Dwight Communications, faculty, and student body for content collection
Manage publication timelines and deadlines
Ensure yearbook meets quality standards and school guidelines
Current Dwight School faculty/staff member
Experience with publishing, design, or journalism preferred
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to mentor and inspire student creativity
Commitment to producing an exceptional yearbook that celebrates our school community
The yearbook program is a cornerstone of student life at Dwight School, providing students with valuable hands-on experience in publishing while creating a lasting tribute to each academic year.
Compensation commensurate with experience and time commitment - $4,000-$6,000 stipend
